What is Implant-Free Augmentation?
Breast Implant-Free Augmentation is a cosmetic procedure that aims to increase the size and enhance the shape of the breasts without the use of breast implants. This approach typically involves the transfer of fat from other areas of the body, such as the thighs or abdomen, to the breasts.
The procedure begins with a liposuction process, where the surgeon removes unwanted fat from a chosen area of the patient’s body. The fat is then purified and processed, and the surgeon carefully injects it into the breast tissue, layer by layer, to create the desired shape and size.
Procedure
During the consultation, the surgeon can provide a more accurate estimate of the procedure's length based on the patient's individual case. Typically, the procedure can take anywhere from 3 to 6 hours to complete.
Recovery
The recovery period after Breast Implant-Free Augmentation can vary depending on several factors, such as the amount of fat transferred and the specific techniques used. Most patients can return to work within a week or two.
Anesthesia
Breast Implant-Free Augmentation is typically performed under general anesthesia. General anesthesia is a type of anesthesia that involves the administration of medication that puts the patient into a deep sleep.

Who Qualifies for Implant-Free Augmentation?
Implant-Free Augmentation is a procedure that may not be suitable for everyone. It depends on several factors such as the individual’s overall health, expectations, and body type. The ideal candidates for this procedure are women who are in good health, have realistic expectations about the results, and want a modest increase in breast size. Typically, the increase is up to one cup size. These women also need to have enough fat in other areas of the body, which can be harvested for the fat transfer process. It’s important to consult with a qualified plastic surgeon to determine whether Breast Implant-Free Augmentation is the right option for you. The surgeon will evaluate your medical history, perform a physical examination, and discuss your goals and expectations to determine whether this procedure is suitable for your needs.

Exploring Two Main Steps of Implant-Free Augmentation
1.Harvesting
A liposuction procedure is done to remove fat from unwanted areas of the body (i.e. the butt, thighs, or stomach areas). Next, the fat stem cells are extracted from the fat and centrifuged for refinement. This can range anywhere between fifteen minutes to a few hours, depending on the amount of fat needed for transfer. Purifying the fat then removes impurities increasing the likelihood of a successful cell transfer. After this transformation, the fat cells are ready to be re-injected into the breasts.
2.Injecting
The fat is injected into the layers of the breast by way of six to eight incisions in each breast that are roughly two-millimeters in size (slightly larger than a pen mark). The fat is injected into the space between the skin and the breast capsule and/or into the space between the breast and chest wall. The injections are layered from the pectoralis major muscle up through the top of the breast. Blunt syringes and cannulas (small tubes that can be inserted into the body) are used to administer the fat into the breasts.
