What is Juvéderm Vollure™ XC?
Juvéderm Vollure™ XC is a type of facial filler that is used to soften moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. It is made from hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found in the body that helps to hydrate and plump the skin. The XC in the name refers to the addition of lidocaine, a local anesthetic, which helps to make the injection more comfortable.
Juvéderm Vollure™ XC is particularly effective for treating nasolabial folds, which are the lines that run from the nose to the corners of the mouth, as well as marionette lines, which are the lines that run from the corners of the mouth to the chin. It can also be used to add volume to the cheeks, chin, and lips.
The length of the procedure can vary depending on the area being treated and the amount of product being used. However, in general, the procedure typically takes about 15-30 minutes to complete.
Patients can typically resume their normal activities immediately after the procedure, but they should avoid applying any makeup or skincare products to the treated area for at least 12 hours after treatment.
After treatment, patients may notice an immediate improvement in the appearance of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, including nasolabial folds and marionette lines. Results last up to 18 months.
