What Is Restylane?

Restylane Refyne, Lyft, and Defyne smooth out wrinkles, lines, and folds via quick, easy injections that can be performed right in the comfort of our Beverly Hills office. Restylane Silk provides lip enhancement and volume, while Restylane Lyft adds volume and plumpness to the cheeks. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in the body that diminishes as we age, causing our skin to lose volume and form lines, folds, and wrinkles, while our cheeks can become hollow and our lips become thinner. By injecting hyaluronic acid back into the skin, you can restore lost volume, add plumpness to the cheeks, enhance the lips, and smooth out fine lines and wrinkles.

Each Restylane product is made with different-sized particles, giving us the agility needed to address your specific cosmetic concerns and create results that will be directly tailored to your personal cosmetic goals.

Smaller particles are ideal for fine lines and detailed shaping, while larger particles work best with severe wrinkles and loss of volume. To learn more about Restylane, reach out to our Beverly Hills office and set up your initial consultation today.

Who Qualifies for Restylane?

Qualifications

Restylane is generally considered a safe and effective treatment for individuals who are looking to address signs of aging or enhance their facial features. However, not everyone is a good candidate for this treatment. Individuals who are over 21 years of age, in good general health, have realistic expectations for the outcome of the treatment, are not pregnant or breastfeeding, are not allergic to any of the ingredients in Restylane, and have no history of bleeding disorders or are not taking medications that increase the risk of bleeding may qualify for Restylane.

Disqualifications

It is important to note that Restylane is not recommended for individuals with active skin infections, inflammation, or other skin conditions in the area to be treated. Additionally, it may not be suitable for individuals with certain medical conditions, such as autoimmune disorders or a history of severe allergies. When you visit our practice, a member of our aesthetics team will work with you to learn about your goals, understand your personal medical history, and help you decide whether or not Restylane will be the ideal choice for you.

The Day of Your Restylane Session

The length of a Restylane procedure can vary depending on several factors, including the number of areas to be treated and the amount of filler required. In general, the procedure takes around 15 to 30 minutes to complete, per area.

In some cases, the provider may recommend applying a topical anesthetic to the treatment area to minimize discomfort during the injection process. You should also avoid alcohol and strenuous exercise for at least 24 hours before the treatment to minimize the risk of bruising.

The Recovery Experience

The recovery time after a Restylane treatment is usually minimal. Many patients are able to resume their normal activities immediately after the procedure. However, some individuals may experience mild swelling and redness. Fine lines and wrinkles can be frustrating to experience, but they don’t have to be permanent fixtures on your face. Restylane offers you subtle and naturalistic facial rejuvenation, and we’re excited to offer this non-surgical treatment in the comfort of our Beverly Hills office. If you’d like to learn more, reach out to our practice and set up your initial consultation with a member of our team today.
