What is Brow Lift?
A brow lift, also known as a forehead lift, is a cosmetic procedure that involves the removal of excess skin and repositioning of the muscles and tissues in the forehead and brow area to give a more youthful and refreshed appearance.
During the procedure, incisions are typically made in the hairline or above the brow, and the skin is lifted and repositioned to smooth out wrinkles and lines on the forehead and around the eyebrows. This can help reduce the appearance of drooping eyebrows and a furrowed brow, resulting in a more youthful and alert appearance.
Procedure
The length of a brow lift procedure can vary depending on the specific technique used and the extent of the correction needed. In general, a traditional brow lift surgery can take two to three hours to complete, while an endoscopic brow lift can take around one to two hours.
Recovery
Most patients are able to return to work and normal daily activities within 1-2 weeks following a traditional brow lift surgery. However, it may take several weeks or even months for the full results of the procedure to be visible as the swelling and bruising gradually subside.
Anesthesia
Surgical brow lift is typically performed under general anesthesia, which means that the patient is completely asleep and unaware during the procedure. In some cases, local anesthesia with sedation may be used instead of general anesthesia, which involves numbing the area around the surgical site.

Who Qualifies for Brow Lift Procedure?
A brow lift procedure may be a good option for individuals who are bothered by the signs of aging in the forehead and eyebrow area, such as wrinkles, sagging skin, and drooping eyebrows. Candidates for a brow lift should be in good overall health and have realistic expectations about the results of the procedure.
A consultation with a qualified and experienced plastic surgeon is the best way to determine if a brow lift is the right procedure for an individual. During the consultation, the surgeon will evaluate the patient’s medical history, current health status, and aesthetic goals to determine if they are a good candidate for the procedure.
