CHEEK LIFT / IMPLANTS PROCEDURE
For the purposes of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, the face is divided into three areas that can be lifted; neck and jaw, forehead and eyelids, and everything in between – referred to as the mid-face. There are three basic physical elements that define the appearance of the face: bones, soft tissues, and skin. Implants can help address contour and size issues with the bones and soft tissues. Implant surgery can be performed alone or in combination with other surgical procedures, such as a Facelift, Eyelid Surgery, or Nasal Refinement.
A Cheek Lift targets the deeper layers in the area between the two corners of the eyes and the corners of the mouth. The tissues in this area are pulled up and re-positioned, in order to tighten and smooth the skin, and give the face a natural and more youthful appearance. A Cheek Lift can flatten the folds around the mouth and lift sagging cheeks, which helps minimize the appearance of marionette lines and jowls. A Cheek Lift can be performed on its own or in conjunction with other procedures such as a Neck Lift or Eyelid Surgery.
