Who Qualifies for Hip Implants?

To qualify for hip implants, you’ll first undergo a comprehensive evaluation with Dr. Rogers, a board-certified cosmetic surgeon. This evaluation will include discussions around your gender identity, medical history, and any previous hormone therapy or surgical procedures you may have already undergone. Individuals seeking hip implants must generally be at least 18 years old or have parental or legal guardian consent if under 18. You should also have a stable and healthy medical history, including a body mass index (BMI) within a healthy range.

Your Surgical Experience

The anesthesia used for your hip implant surgery will be determined by Dr. Rogers based on your personal medical history and individual case and can be either general anesthesia or local anesthesia with sedation.

The duration of a hip implant surgery will differ according to the unique circumstances of the personalized surgical plan you develop with Dr. Rogers. Nevertheless, the surgery generally lasts for about one to three hours.

Dr. Rogers will personalize your hip implants to match the natural contours of your body, using small incisions made in the bikini area. Depending on the amount of fat available, fat grafting may also be considered.

Our services include hip implants as a standalone treatment or in conjunction with other body contouring procedures. However, results can vary depending on the individual’s body and healing process.

Before the day of your procedure, Dr. Rogers and his team will work closely with you to ensure that you’re given a clear idea of what you’ll experience on the day of your procedure, along with a detailed set of aftercare instructions.
