Worked in the Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center under the mentorship of Dr. Babak Mehrara, principle investigator and Chief of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery.

Performed basic science research on lymphatic biology, lymphatic tissue engineering, obesity, and microsurgical procedures including lymph node transfer and lymphaticovenous bypass.

Worked in the Cytogenetics Laboratory in the Department of Pathology at MSKCC under the mentorship of Drs. Suresh Jhanwar and Xiaoliang Xu, carrying out an individual research project to determine the effects of two retinoid X receptor gamma (RXRG) ligands on the regulation of proliferation in colon cancer.
