What is Buttock Lift/Augmentation?
Buttock lift is a surgical procedure that removes excess skin and fat from the buttocks, which results in a smoother and more toned appearance. It is often performed after significant weight loss or as part of a body contouring procedure.
Buttock augmentation, on the other hand, involves increasing the size and shape of the buttocks using implants, fat grafting, or a combination of both. Fat grafting, also known as Brazilian butt lift, involves harvesting fat from other areas of the body using liposuction and injecting it into the buttocks to create a fuller, more lifted appearance.
Procedure
In general, a buttock lift procedure can take anywhere from two to four hours, while buttock augmentation procedures may take slightly longer.
Recovery
After a buttock lift, patients will typically need to take one to two weeks off work and avoid strenuous activity for at least 4 to 6 weeks.
Anesthesia
In general, these procedures may be performed under general anesthesia or local anesthesia with sedation.

They should also have a stable weight and realistic expectations for the outcome of the procedure. While the specific qualifications for buttock lift or augmentation procedures may vary depending on the individual patient’s needs and the specific technique used, it’s important to work closely with a qualified and experienced surgeon to determine if these procedures are right for you. Buttock Augmentation Recovery
Patients who have undergone a Buttock Augmentation can typically return to work and social activities within 2-3 weeks following their surgery. Patients will need to avoid directly sitting down for at least 3 weeks to allow the buttock area to heal properly. A cushion should continue to be used to sit to allow for optimal comfort. Sports and exercise can typically be resumed after the first month of recovery.
