What is Belotero?
Belotero® is a brand name for a line of dermal fillers. These fillers are made from hyaluronic acid, which is a substance that naturally occurs in the body and helps to hydrate and plump the skin.
Belotero® fillers are designed to treat a variety of cosmetic concerns, including wrinkles, lines, and folds on the face. They can be used to add volume to the cheeks, lips, and under-eye area, as well as to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles around the mouth, nose, and forehead.
One of the unique features of Belotero® fillers is that they are formulated with a patented technology called Cohesive Polydensified Matrix (CPM®), which helps the filler to integrate with the surrounding tissues and provide a more natural-looking result.
Procedure
The length of a Belotero® treatment can vary depending on several factors, including the area being treated and the amount of filler that is needed. In general, however, most Belotero® procedures can be completed in 15-30 minutes.
Recovery
The recovery time after a Belotero® treatment is typically minimal, and most patients are able to resume their normal activities immediately after the procedure. Some patients may experience mild swelling, redness, or bruising at the injection sites.
Results
After a Belotero® treatment, patients may notice an immediate improvement in the appearance of their skin, with a reduction in the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, and a more youthful, refreshed look.

Who Qualifies for Belotero?
While Belotero® may be a suitable option for many patients, there are some factors that can impact whether or not a patient is a good candidate for this treatment. Generally, candidates for Belotero® should be in good overall health and have realistic expectations about the potential results of the treatment. They should also have specific cosmetic concerns that can be addressed with dermal fillers, such as wrinkles, lines, and folds on the face, or loss of volume in areas such as the cheeks, lips, or under-eye area.
Patients who have a history of severe allergies or anaphylaxis, or who are currently pregnant or breastfeeding, may not be eligible for Belotero® treatment. Additionally, patients who are taking certain medications or supplements, such as blood thinners, may need to adjust their medications before undergoing the treatment.
What to Expect?
Before receiving a Belotero® treatment, patients can expect to have a consultation with a qualified healthcare provider to discuss their individual needs and goals, as well as to determine whether or not Belotero® is a suitable treatment option for them. During the consultation, the healthcare provider will evaluate the patient’s skin condition, medical history, and any medications or supplements they are currently taking to determine if they are a good candidate for the treatment.
If the patient is deemed a suitable candidate for Belotero®, the healthcare provider will work with them to develop a customized treatment plan that addresses their specific cosmetic concerns and goals. This may involve selecting the appropriate Belotero® product, determining the optimal injection technique, and identifying the best areas of the face to inject the filler.
Prior to the treatment, patients may be advised to avoid certain medications or supplements that can increase the risk of bleeding or bruising, such as aspirin or vitamin E.
